My role involves managing a team of people on a regular basis as well as the main shift of around 80 people on a day to day basis. I manage daily operational tasks as well as liaise with various departments and managers to ensure we reach the shift targets and goals to meet our KPI's
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme, the course encourages you to have a deeper look at the role you do and of how you can make improvements to better yourself.

Yes, I have learnt how to be more self aware and the course has taught me to look at how my actions have a bigger impact on the company.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The course is well structured and each module leads into the next. The path the course follows is to introduce the basics first the follow with more in-depth topics once you can understand the basics.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer could have given me more support time wise but I do understand this was restricted due to cover.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A good amount of support and the trainer was always available to give you support if required.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I would say it has helped me to improve myself and grow not just as a manager but as a person. It has given me a greater understanding all the different psychological theories and management techniques to improve yourself and make you a better manager.

I have worked at Booker for 27 years, I have built a career for myself and have been given the opportunity to do so. Booker is continually trying to improve the work environment for all by offering training to all colleagues and further enhanced training to its managers. Such as courses by Crosby training and Bookers in house training.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Booker Wholesale UK?
Ensure you are passionate about what you do and be on board with the changes in society. Booker actively promotes equity, diversity and inclusion.
