Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an apprentice travel consultant we assist customers in planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodation, and tours. We learn to provide advice on destinations, itineraries, and travel requirements, while gaining experience in using booking systems and customer service
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme, it has been a life changing decision for me as I am going to gain a qualification out of it and make it a job for life.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have, I’ve learned a lot of knowledge about destinations and working with new systems also working with the public, how to look for deals and gained experience for life

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Yes it is very well organised and I do find it planned out very well, I think the training sessions are very useful
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel like my manager could sometimes be a bit more helpful, but other than that I feel the support I receive is very useful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive 100% support our training provider is absolutely fantastic and he supports us the whole way out.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps a lot because it gives you something to work towards and gives you that motivational boost to achieve more and more

Why?
I think the apprenticeship scheme is great for someone that has a genuine interest in travel, but I also feel like for someone young and would like to start with experience this would be great for them.

Just do it, ask for support from everyone, boost your confidence know you can do it.
