my job involves manufacturing aircraft components, I'm always working with colleagues and supervisors to help complete my tasks. my responsibilities include a duty of care to the products and my colleagues around me.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i thoroughly enjoy the practical side of the apprenticeship along with all of the evidence which i am required to gather and write about, however the college side of the apprenticeship i do not enjoy as much as it does not relate to my actual job role once i have came out of my time.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt many new skills which includes various different production methods along with further developing my social skills as i am always speaking to a colleague or management
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

the way in which the theory and criteria work is structured is very good we always know what we must do, however sometimes we feel that things could be done better especially in regards to the placements, often times it is left til last minute and we get told where to go and that is it, i feel there should be some sort of apprentice handover implemented where managers and supervisors know exactly who's going where to eliminate the confusion
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a good amount of support from the company, if i ever have a problem i know where to go to get help
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

when in college we get a good amount of support from our tutors and everyone who works in that side of the apprenticeship, if we ever have a problem it is always sorted out quickly and efficiently
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i feel that certain aspects of the qualification can help with the role but not all, often times we think that certain college units are a bit pointless and have no relation to our job role when we finish the apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

ive been made aware of different activities that i can attend such as apprentice engagement meeting or networking events within the business where we can speak to professionals about their career

really good company to work for, you get taken care of and the skills you will eventually learn cannot be attained anywhere else

be honest in the interviews dont try to be somone you are not
