Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work with the technicians on there jobs for the week, it can range from going out to fix faults on plant or doing some calibrations with various types of instruments, or out with the mechanical guys replacing motors or valves.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
It is a great start to the working world, as I learn on the job which is good as there is no expectations, so it is good to start in an environment like this.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned more in depth on mechanical, electrical and instrumental skills. I can understand technical drawings, and can confidently test to see if a circuit is live safely.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
There is 4 rotations within my apprenticeship so roughly 6-8 months each, then final year and a half in my final placement of choice which then I would look for a job within the area.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Within AstraZeneca there is a lot of support and groups to join within the network.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
With my training provider it can be good at points and also bad at others, good as in helping towards checking off the KSBs (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours). However, when it comes to teachers it can be hard to communicate by email - my experience anyway.. But everyone is different when it comes to learning styles, this provider just is not mine.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I personally don't feel like it does as the type of engineering I am working in, doesn't necessarily seem like it correlates with my role, however it is understandable that there are multiple types of roles within the class.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are plenty of activities and networking events, and groups to join.
