I ensure production of medicines remains a sterile process by testing product and any people and machines that come in contact with the product
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my programme both the job itself and also the education provided by the university

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my lab skills massively as i have hands on experience with testing and trained to a high level, my communication and teamwork have also developed as i work closely with multiple teams in order to keep tests to a high standard
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is extremley well organised as work have accomodated well to apprentices in order for them to thrive and despite the programme being new to MMU they are able to provided a top education
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am extremely well supported by my employer, monthly meeting with my manager provide a safe space in order for me to flag any issues or struggles i am experiencing and help and advice is very quickly offered in a professional maaner that allows me to thrive in the workplace
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lecturers are always willing to help, sometimes it can take a few days for emails to be returned but they always are and are very informative and useful, we lack face to face interaction from the university as the majority of it is done online but scheduled lectures allow for questions to be asked and concerns to be raised
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

my qualification helps to fill in the gaps of the theory to the practical that i do at work, around half the modules directly relate to my job role and things i do at work however the other half are unrelated and dont help me to perform my role in work
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

the company has a huge number of extracurriculars to be involved in that cater to many different hobbies, there are also many support groups to join for different things to support employees and plenty of networking events that help you to expand your contacts within the company

Why?
AstraZeneca has so far welcomed me with open arms and provided me with a fantastic opportunity to kickstart my career and gain a qualification, I couldn't recommend the company more and I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time here so far and cannot wait for the opportunities within the company in the coming years
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
Research the company values and really try to see where you have used them in previous life experiences but also how moving forward you can consider the values in situations so the best out come can be achieved
