Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Pick cable work orders. Transfer info to the cable tallies. Cut different cables. Use SAP to dispatch/issue cabling out. Use SAP to check all work orders live and check urgency. Make sure my work area is all clean. Adhere to H&S policies. Speak to colleagues about what's needed.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy what I do a lot, hard to start off with doing something completely different.
Every day I am happy/excited to come to work as I am learning something new all the time.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Developed my ICT skills a lot using SAP everyday. Developed my communication, speaking to colleagues all the time and speaking to customers. Learnt how to use machinery like cable cutter, chemical baths, etching machines. Learnt how to use pallet truck. Learnt how to use the banding machine properly.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
For the most part it is good. Some parts are lacking with us being forgotten about some times. We feel like we could be told more/involved more. In placements it is very good, constantly checked on and set goals to achieve.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Very good. If we need help we have loads of people we can contact and receive help from. Loads of resources on employee portals to find help/info. Constant reviews/check backs and catch ups.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Receive quite a lot. They set us training plans for certain areas we need to hit during our time. They book us on all the relevant training and give us time to focus on them areas. They also keep track of areas lacking in skill.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It will give me a better understanding of how things work from the ground up and show me every part of logistics within BAE. I learn all key skills before I come out of my time. I know what I will need to do in most work areas I go in.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Get offered a lot of STEM activities we can do outside of our placements. Their is local councils we can join if want to. We are offered the chance to go to business functions like open evenings
