Why?
I found the role to be an invaluable learning experience. My daily tasks included assisting with site inspections, updating drawings, and supporting project planning. Internally, I interacted regularly with engineers and supervisors who provided guidance and constructive feedback. Externally, I communicated with contractors and suppliers as needed. Over time, my responsibilities expanded, and I began managing smaller tasks independently. I also contributed to real projects aimed at infrastructure improvement. The supportive environment and hands-on experience made me confident that this apprenticeship would be a great opportunity for someone else starting out in the field.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAM?
Show that you're proactive and willing to take on new challenges. Be prepared for a mix of both practical and theoretical tasks, so demonstrating your ability to balance hands-on work with problem-solving skills is key
