Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

i am on site 2/3 day a week for 12 hours and have college 1 day a week for 8 hours.
i follow a trades person around completing PMS's on machinery and repair lighting circuits mostly. we also have reactive work that can range from a lot of different jobs.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i enjoy my programme since i am interested in the work i do so for me it doesn't always feel like I am going to work whilst also liking the people i work with which always helps a lot.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have came straight out of school so i have learned and developed lots of new skills mostly around electrical work such of how lighting circuits work, all the theory around that and how to repair them. I have also learn a lot about earthing and how it all works

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

my programme is organised okay but it seems a lot of the time people do not now where my next placement is or if i am just staying where i am which can be a pain to plan around but apart from that it is organised and structured quite well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive plenty of support from my employer. i have my own "skills coach" which is someone who i have 12 week reviews with and they make sure everything is going well and how it should be. they also give me work to do so they can see how i'm progressing in my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive plenty of support from my employer. i have my own "skills coach" which is someone who i have 12 week reviews with and they make sure everything is going well and how it should be. they also give me work to do so they can see how i'm progressing in my apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

they have help me a lot with motivation throughout my apprenticeship and i know that my qualification will help me preform better in my job role because it gives me all the knowledge i need to know to complete the tasks i'll be given to the best of my ability.
