Working with Amy to monitor the barrow.relocation inbox
Updating the mobility approvals tracker to reflect the latest approvals emailed to you by Julia
Checking in with the Shared Services team via our daily check-in calls to resolve questions and issues that have appeared in the relocation inbox
Picking up occasional admin work from Julia
Helping to organise upcoming relocation events – liaising with attendees, putting together slide packs, etc.
Running occasional drop-in sessions at SASK for people who are struggling to submit relocation expenses
Raising tickets through ESC for new relocation support recipients
Putting together agendas for the Weekly Stand Up Meetings
Planning and contributing to Total Reward Workshops

Wide range of skills related to my role and the wider business complimented by theories underpinning HR professional best practice. My first placement was a generalist role but I'm now in a project based team so gettig exposure to different functions that requires a diverse range of skillsets

I receive a multi-layered support package, not only from my line manager, college tutor, but my colleagues, skills coaches and I also have workplace mentor.

Yes
Why?
They heavily invest in their employees and the local community. There's lots of opportunity for development. They pay well and provide an excellent reward package. The workplace culture is positive and my colleagues are knowledgeable and supportive.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Use the STARR model for responding to interview questions and take time to learn about the business, the product, BAE behaviours and history of the shipyard in Barrow.
