Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

At the minute I am doing training at college and am on site two days a week on Thursday and Friday. At college I am doing multiple courses which gets me my qualifications. Within these two days on site I am getting experience and seeing what people do on a day to day, whilst getting training.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme as it is good when I am on site and learn new skills and get to see my job on a day to day but college isn't the best with the lack of tutors and getting new tutors all the time which disturbs learning as they sometimes go over things we have done or teach in a different way.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new skills whilst being at college as I am learning new things as its a level three and whilst on site I am doing success factors and completing courses which give me new knowledge and skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is quite structured and well thought out with the training and experience you get along the way. For example when we came in for two days to see the different disciplines it was very helpful ande helped my choices on which one to pick.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get a lot of support from my employer with lots of things such as my learning, new skills and knowledge, things im struggling with, training and overall guidance on what i need to do.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

With college it isn't the best with the lack of tutors at points and miscommunication between staff and students. As well as getting new tutors a lot which disturbs learning as they all teach in different ways and have new methods. But when on site training is very efficient and organised and very helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel as it helps me within my role as it gives me the basic needs for what my job role will intake when i fully come on site. It also will prepare me to take on my HNC and my degree if i wish to take that in the future.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is things such as stretch activities and stem events, as well as councils within college and work but at the minute I am unable to take part in some as i am not on site full time.

Why?
It is a good business which gives you lots of opportunities within work and many chances to take on new skills or get involved with different things. It also allows you to gain many transferable skills which you can use in the future or in day to day life.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Some tips i would give to others applying to BAE systems is to take up opportunities such as women in engineering and if a school leaver they could do work experience at BAE to make sure that it is right with them and find which roles/jobs you are interested in.
