My role of an electrical apprentice consists of assisting the qualified electrician and complete any tasks that’s set for me to do, under supervision. This helps me gain both experience and confidence to complete tasks on my own in the future.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I’m really enjoy the electrical programme with Seen services, I learnt new skills everyday, working with a good group of people that are willing to help you on site and in the office.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many skills such as simple electrics; on how to install and terminate sockets and also I have learnt a wide range set of skills with Seen services on the security, data/wifi, audio visual, fire and renewable side of electrics.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured and organised, if there is any issues I have there is a great support from the people on site and in the office
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is a lot of support I receive from the people on site such as the project managers and my work mates and from the office
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My college gives me a good support to ensure that I turn up to lessons, making my lessons enjoyable whilst learning. Furthermore, the college ensures that I’m ready for any exams I may have and the AM2 exam that I’ll have at the end of the programme.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The college helps me understand the basics behind the electrical works that I may encountered on site.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, once every few months the company takes us out to do social activities such as Go-Kart.
