I work in corporate tax compliance and my day to day jobs involve doing draft tax computations and finalising returns as well as preparing engagement letters.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am thoroughly enjoying my programme and feel like every day I have the opportunity to improve my skillset and learn something new. Balancing studying with work is tough but you are well supported and everyone is going through the same thing.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt many new skills, the main ones being technical use of tax software and corporate tax compliance treatments. I've also improved my communication and organisational skills.

Programme well structured and good communication.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support is there if you need it, especially in terms of wellbeing. Although some things can't be changed because of firm policy.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Greater support received when taught in centre. Although OCR living there are active forums where your questions will be answered promptly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

In the long term it will help significantly. It can be more difficult to recognise that you're performing better when you're out of work a lot on study leave etc.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a social committee but not really any sports etc. because of small size of office. Would like to go to more networking events at junior level.
