Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The first week was an induction period where we met various members from the Early Careers team and had guest speakers from within the firm. We also got to interact with other interns on the vacation scheme: both those from the regional offices and Dubai.
In the second and third weeks we sat in our assigned seats and undertook the work that was set out and assigned to us as part of our objectives.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
This internship has given me insight into how the law branches into various areas and how various sectors/groups are all interrelated. It also allowed me to understand that any one sector is so vast and that there is a range of tasks/work that is to be undertaken.
I have developed a greater appreciation for the role of a trainee and how they are assigned work and the standard expected from them.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was very welcoming and approachable. This made my time on the vacation scheme very enjoyable and I felt comfortable asking questions whenever I had them.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed the insight scheme. I believe I have received a true understanding of how the firm operates, the sectors they are involved in and the type of work that is undertaken.
