Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am first line support to a wide range of companies, i help them resolve issues they have with there network and router ect . I reply to email and take calls form are customer to raise faults . I also run diagnostics and test on router .
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed my time in the thurso office doing my apprenticeship. My team that I work with have been really helpful and the support that I have gotten has been amazing. The QA team have been really helpful too , my tutor has given me the best start to my apprenticeship and is always there to ask questions

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My training program has been organised well . I had 5 weeks initial training learning all the computer programs and now 5 months on I still have a buddy on the desk to support me
How much support do you receive from your employer?

At BT thurso I have gotten a lot of support in my appreciation and they have given me the time to do my course work and online courses. My team is always there for me if I need help on anything
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The QA team have given me lots of support, when working towards my qualification, we have a support very few weeks and if I am struggling with something they are always an email away .
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have a much better understanding of how networks work which help me understand how to help the customer more .
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a social activities in the thurso BT office , we have quiz’s and season activities such as an Easter egg hunt , Halloween games . This keeps the spirits high in the office .

I would do your research about BT , there is lots of different job roles in the company and there is always opportunity to progress.
