Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Week 1 involved presentations from key speakers at the firm. For example introductions to DLA Piper generally as well as insights into the pro bono, ESG and D&I initiatives.
During Week 2 I sat in the Corporate team. I attended in-person client meetings, amended an SPA, drafted emails for clients and drafted a client file note.
During Week 3 I sat in the Financial Regulatory team. I attended client meetings and drafted memos.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The role of a trainee solicitor was clearly explained. I also learnt about progression within the firm and secondment opportunities.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
DLA Piper is definitely a place of lovely, approachable, warm people. Focus was placed on ensuring everyone felt equal and worthy of being there. This is representative of the firm culture.
