Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Dealing with creditor correspondence, assisting with fee estimates and estimated outcome statements., forecasting future cash flows, administering liquidations and administration cases, conducting investigations into company affairs and reasons for failure including financial statement analysis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

You learn a variety of skills that you get the opportunity to build upon once you prove yourself. Being rewarded with a bigger portfolio of work to deal with that compliments your exam studies alongside.

Accounting for Excel, financial statement analysis, cash flow forecasting, networking, misfeasance investigation.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Exams are spread out in around 3 month intervals so that you're not overwhelmed. Modules are taught then you sit the exam for that module 4 weeks later, you can only move onto the next module once the last has been passed. Provides a consistent system for learning and progressing without being too much.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Additional study days are provided, along with a wide range of peers and seniors you can ask for help. The training provider also teaches larger modules in person and has some very attentive tutors that want you to pass.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Five study days are given to each person on top of annual leave that reset each year. These can be taken at your own discretion depending on how you feel for a specific exam.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification teaches you the absolute basics of accounting and works it's way up into tax processes and drafting statements from scratch to interpret them, then into management accounting and so on. This links well with the theory of the work you will do and also gets you used to seeing statements in the job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Social committee runs from office to office organising dinners, sports days, Christmas party etc. Sports clubs also exist such as football and badminton.

Why?
Forvis Mazars is a great middle ground in accounting. With you still being exposed to a variety of projects and clients in the world but also with a major emphasis on training contracts enabling you to study alongside many others in the role that can all help you. The firm has a very proactive attitude and everyone from all sectors is approachable.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Forvis Mazars?
Be yourself, Forvis Mazars is a very people driven firm and will be looking for how well they think you will fit into the team. They encourage out of the box thinking and are always looking for ways to improve so this is a skill that would be good to try and display.
