Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am part of the Buying Analysis team in the Financial Control Function. My half of the team focus more on Liquidity, working quite closely with buyers and business partners to provide an overview of how depts & GM's within the business are performing
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I personally have found the programme pretty good. Though I haven't yet experienced the aspect of transferring functions, I have enjoyed challenging myself, as well as learning to balance work and study, whilst performing relatively well in both aspects
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have become increasingly compotent at using excel and it's various different functions, as well as being able to build dashboard from scratch in Power BI. In addition to this, I have developed an overall understanding of how a business works and the relationships needed to maintain success.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

In terms of my role itself, it is very structured. There is a clear chain of command, though everyone is very willing and able to help regardless. The apprenticeship itself could be more structured in terms of ensuring everyone is on top of all of the relevant requirements.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. There are regular catch-ups with senior members of my team, and with those who look after the grads/those on the apprenticeship. It is very easy to get help if it's needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

In terms of the resources avaialble, there are plenty. My only criticism is that it is often quite difficult to get in touch with them, and there is a slight bit of disorganisation. Other than that, no complaints. They seem very friendly and genuine, and I understand they can be very busy at times!
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I personally haven't utilised a lot of what I've learnt through the qualification in my everyday role, but I believe that it will be incredibly useful in other roles throughout the business, which I may experience once rotations occur.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There may be too many! At work there's always something social going on, from Grad events, to football after work, badminton, team days etc. I have no complaints in that department.

Would you recommend TJX Europe to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The culture. Though everyone works really hard, and ensures that their work is done, it seems as if everyone is always happy and having a good time. I feel included and honestly relatively stress free. This may just be a reflection of my team itself, but I would recommend!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TJX Europe?
Be yourself. One thing you won't be criticised for is being your genuine self. Don't put too much stress on yourself, and remember that it's okay to make mistakes. No one's perfect, and quite frankly it'd be pretty scary if anyone was.
