As the Station Manager of the Bakery it is my job to ensure smooth day to day operations while managing deployment, ordering stock and creating a positive work environment for my team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love the program, The tutors and support staff are really great at helping with assignments and teaching me new content.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt multiple new skills such as managing work place relations, managing and working alongside budgets to manage labour as well as enhancing my operational skills on the shop floor.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Its like clock work, At my site there is 4 of us is management of the stations. We work as a team to balance deployment and ensure all stations run smoothly to make the site run as best as we can.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Im given plenty of time to complete my University work inside work hours. My operations manager who's is my support for the program. He provides me with data and supports me on many assignments despite his extremely busy schedule.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive as much as needed. although i have not had to use it so much i know they are always there if needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The course is specifically tailored to my job role and directly impacts my performance. I'm constantly learning new skills which i can directly use in my team and department.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The team at my site are always up to stuff outside of work, from day trips to citys to 5 aside football games arranged by the ops team.

Why?
I genuinely believe there is no better company in Cumbria to work for if you are passionate about developing yourself, I never thought I would attend uni. However after working hard for 2 years the company saw my willingness to learn and offered me the placement.

Work hard and you will be recognised and rewarded!
