Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is managing training and creating training content for colleagues at Westmorland.
I support the operations managers in delivering excellent standards and supporting upcoming projects, working with a variety of teams.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have enjoyed the course. I now have new business and organisational knowledge, which will help me progress. Even when times have been challenging, the lecturers and university colleagues have been so supportive. It has been interesting to build relationships with other students who share business-like minds and learn how their organisations run.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed skills in managing relationships that have helped me in my job role. I have also developed my influencing and creativity skills and continued building my confidence in public speaking.
I have a new understanding of our company, which has undoubtedly helped with projects, new launches and day to day duties etc.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Most of the programme has been well structured, but the only struggle I found was the rules around KSBS, off-the-job hours, and story bundles. Setting clear guidelines for year one to manage expectations would be ideal.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel incredibly supported by my employer. My Manager has been understanding when I have had report deadlines due and always shows an interest in what I am learning about.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
UOC has been very supportive. They are easy to contact if needed and very understanding.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
If I look at myself when I first started, I would be looking at a different person. This course has helped me grow in my job role and as a person. Learning the latest business modules and models has supported me in any decision I make, and understanding how the company works and people's behaviours.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are certainly events or volunteering days I can support.
