Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Generating and reviewing reports, sales planning and loading, sales analysis, meeting with business partners, reviewing sales performance and relaying back to wider team

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme offers great exposure to all of finance, value in the work I am doing, responsibility and ownership of my work. Overall really enjoy the programme and ability to rotate around all of finance over 3 years.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Overall excel ability, reading and analysing data, reporting management, KPI measurements, reading financial reports, presenting data to various business partners

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is plenty of support for the programme and understanding form the business and managers. Sometimes training provider can be difficult to contact or unclear messaging.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is a lot of support form the employer. My manager regularly checks in on progress. There is a lead for each intake who we can speak to about anything programme related.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is very supportive and offers a lot of materials. Sometimes it can be difficult to contact them or messaging is unclear.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Overall the qualification does help in my role directly or wider understanding of the business and finance. Some of the skills and behaviours elements not so much currently.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

As an intake we have set up a social team that organises specific early careers events. The business is also good at orgaising team, function and business events including sporting, social and networking.

Why?

The culture is great, supportive of work/life balance, meaningful work, you are given responsibility, there is an emphasis on people as well as work, very social (in and outside of work)
