the role of a buying admin is to manage vendor queries and buyer requests. you work closely with your buyer and merch team to ensure that the correct products and units are getting to stores at the correct time

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme and i feel as though it has already helped me develop and i learn new things every day as every day is new

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new skills and refined existing skills, I have really improved my communication skills by learning how to write emails professionally and by talking to people high up in the business. As an admin you need to be organised and time efficient in order to get everything done by the deadlines as the role is fast paced

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think that the programme is well organised and structured. I go to Fashion Retail Academy for a week every three months which I really enjoy. I have regular team meetings to ensure our week goes smoothly, also my manager always makes time if we need to catch up

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel as the TJX is very supportive and will help you grow. We have regular objective and development meetings in order to broaden our knowledge and abilities. However, we dont get regular study hours for our coursework

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

FRA have coaching and progress review sessions to check in with hour we are getting on. They encourage study and off the job hours

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel as though having the training provider is helpful for the role and it allows you to gain more knowledge and learn more about the role which helps you undertand more reulting in better performance

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

TJX is very social and always has events to allow us to network. We always have a lot of charity events such as netball and football matches which gets every body together for a good cause
