Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day I reply to email queries from my buyer and vendors which I then have to action accordingly, for example by changing ladder plans on an order or investigating why an order is being delayed and reaching out to the relevant teams to resolve the issues

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the variety of my day to day role as well as getting an insight into different roles that i could potentially go for in the future and what they entail through sitting near my departments team of people

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my communication skills greatly since working here through having to talk to a wide range of people in different positions and roles. My grammar and speeling has also improved due to the number of emails and reports I carry out

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is relatively well structured as I have regular scheduled meetings with my team, supervisor and merchandisers which allows for us all to stay up to date in everything that is going on. Sometimes I only hear about and event or timing of a meeting very last minute which can make it difficult to work around

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received lots of support from my employer regarding my health issues which sometimes make it difficult to complete a full day in the office but they have been very accommodating of my needs whilst not making me feel outcast in any way

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive both a coaching session and a progress review session in between blocks our lessons which is extremely useful in making sure I have understood the lessons content and assignments given in a more private environment where i can more confidently ask for help

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has given me a further understanding of how the business works therefore i am more able to assist my colleagues in their work and take in more when sitting in on meeting with my analysts and merchandisers

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes tjx run a winterfest and Summerfest every year as well as events for charity such as red nose day where you had the option to join in on a football match or netball match to raise money for the charity
