Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day to day involves attending meetings, going into the lab getting some practical work completed. I often have training courses scheduled as well as there are lots of opportunities to learn. I get involved in projects and am even given my own projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the programme, I learn lots and feel valued each time I go into a new team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yeah I have learned and developed practical skills like basic electronics practicals. I have developed my practical experimental skills on how to effectively and accurately collect data to be used in reports and for developing products.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
It could be slightly better organised, my line manager is really good and will do as much for me as he possibly can but any organisation on the uni side of things and organised internally between the uni and work is slow. Training manager has been good as she is new but previously was not good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My work offer a wide variety of support available all the time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
My training providers support can vary from member of staff to member of staff but overall is about average. It could be better but the training provider does offer lots of opportunities to hear feedback from students and relay it to Senior Leadership.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Sometime the modules don't feel relevant to the work however as you get further into the apprenticeship things from university appear more often and some things you learn at work you then see at university which makes university more manageable.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There are a few but not many to do join or partake in and a lot are organised by individuals personally and advertised internally, it is something I wish there was more of.
