Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Im an audit assistant so assist other members of the team at cooper parry with the audit, this can include automotives, academies etc. On a day to day basis this can include tests on things such as the bank, payroll, sales, purchases. And also learning new sections of the file with more experienced colleagues helping me.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme, i love the people i work with and also learning lots more skills and having a better understanding of the work im doing and taking this from college into the workplace.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

ive developed existing skills such as communication, when communicating with the team to complete an audit and also communicating with clients so we both have an understanding. I have also learnt a lot of new skills as I had never done audit or accountancy before so I started my apprentcieship with no knowledge and can now complete multiple sections of the file on my own.

the programme i am on is very organised and structured, i know exactly what im doing and when im doing and the support in place at cooper parry is really good to help with the programme.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive as much suppot as we need from the employer, theres always someone that can help, whether this is someone based in my office or another office, any questions get answered and there are different support lines we can go through if we need this.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

we get a lot of support through first intuition, the tutors are amazing and are always an email away if we need any help or guidance. Also in college they provide us with lots of resources to help with our exams and qualifications. And if you are struggling there is also extra support available.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

the qualification helps my performance in my role massively, as when starting in audit i had no previous knowledge at all, so by learning at college i can then take this into work to help me with my day to day role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

So many! theres such a variety of things to get involved with at cooper parry, such as social events in the office and out of the office at least once a month. Breakfast club to start the day. Different sports to get involved in. different events to celebrate achievements and thinbgs going on. Theres always something new
