Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

my day to day involves completing a veriaty of jobs aroud site which consists of lights motor doors and occasionally some ppms under supervision i also help out around site with the porters and shadowing other engineers whilst remaining professional and keeping towards a high standard of work which i take pride in

i enjoy my programme because it has taught me alot and develop into a better person

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since starting with cbre i have learnt alot of skills such as electrical engineering how to maintain assets and how to remain professional.i have developed my people skills by engaging in alot of people including the client to uphold near perfect standards

How well organised/structured is your programme?

my structure is very well organized with the systems cbre have in place including si and the laptop and phones they have set up
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i recieve alot of suport from my managers always making sure i am capable of doing whilst suporting me throughout and the engineers on site are always showing me how things are done and why we maintain assets while walking me step by step throughout the job and giving me independence to complete some tasks on my own
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

my trainign provider is very talented with how he explains things and has alot of experience in the feild and has taught us about and with my assessments such as my two way intermediate lighting citcuit and my 32 amp ring main my training provider has helped me with these practice jobs and taught me how to safely complete these jobs and all the correct test and checks before and after the job
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i learn more theory at college such as how to work out formulas and how to complete certain jobs with a very reactive side such as if a tester has broken he tasked me with fixing the tester with skills work and college has taught such as soldering and using different tools
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

i have attended a few networking events with other apprentices and other engineers within cbre

Why?
the opportunity to grow and develop overtime and the chance for hands on work with a professional environment so i believe it matures you alot with the different situations you are tasked with and its made me realise how much i can actually do and learn
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CBRE Group?
Asks as much questions and if you are unsure ask for help what i have learnt is that everyone at cbre will make time for you
