Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Management of customer and business risk, including health and safety of clients overseas, and legal compliance risk. I manage a team of four who all have specialisms that I need to understand. I work with stakeholders at all levels within the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoyed it very much. The resources provided were thought-provoking and relevant.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Key highlights for me have been understanding the theory behind management skills such as communications, conflict management, decision making and problem solving. This has enabled me to more consciously and actively deploy different approaches depending on the circumstances.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme was very well structured, with each module building on the learnings and new skills from the previous one.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My line manager was very enthusiastic and helpful, and the business was supportive.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support was there when I required it, but much of the programme was designed to encourage initiative and independence.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I actively deploy most of the new skills I learned, but one of the biggest wins was just learning how to approach problems and decisions differently. This has given me more confidence - particularly in accepting that there isn't always a correct answer to every problem.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are various activities available to get involved in.
