3/5
As a trainee accountant/junior audit executive, I assist in preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulations. My day-to-day tasks involve reviewing documents, analyzing data, supporting senior auditors, and liaising with clients. This role builds strong foundations in accounting principles, audit procedures, and professional communication.

I enjoy my programme as it offers a great balance of practical experience and learning. Each day brings new challenges, which keeps the work engaging. I also appreciate the opportunity to grow professionally, gain industry knowledge, and work as part of a supportive team. It's a rewarding experience overall.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I’ve developed several skills, including improved attention to detail, time management, and analytical thinking. I’ve also gained hands-on experience with accounting software and strengthened my understanding of audit procedures. Additionally, working with clients and team members has enhanced my communication and teamwork skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is well-organised and structured, with clear objectives and support at each stage. There’s a good balance between on-the-job training and formal learning, and regular feedback helps track progress. Tasks are assigned based on skill level, allowing for gradual development and a smooth transition into more complex responsibilities.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a high level of support from my employer. Supervisors and colleagues are always approachable and willing to help with any questions or challenges. There’s also structured training, regular check-ins, and access to resources that support both my professional development and progress through the qualification process.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I receive strong support from my training provider while working towards my qualifications. They offer clear guidance, helpful study materials, and access to tutors who are available to answer questions. Regular progress checks and revision sessions also help ensure I stay on track and feel confident in my learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification through my training provider greatly enhances my performance in my role. It provides a solid understanding of accounting and audit principles, which I can directly apply to my daily tasks. The structured learning helps build confidence, improve accuracy, and develop a deeper understanding of the work I’m doing.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
At the moment, there’s not a lot in terms of extra-curricular activities. While there are occasional social events or team catch-ups, things are fairly limited. However, I’m hopeful more opportunities—like networking events or team activities—will be organised in the future as things pick up.
