Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Servicing and maintaining turbines. Go offshore to the windfarm with work orders and complete the jobs given to the team I'm apart of. If there is bad weather then jobs on base will be completed either to benefit the base or jobs offshore.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I find the programme within and out of college good, the support and skills that is being given is great for adapting my portfolio.

Short answer is yes, everyday I will be learning either new skills or developing the ones I've previously learnt.

The programme has been structured good, by allowing time to learn and adapt to the skills being taught within the units set to us.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive the adequate amount of support, they will give enough so that I can learn efficiently but also be able to do it on my own.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider will give enough support that I will reach the qualification at the end as well as ensuring I am actually trained to the job.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The college will provide a basic understanding of how to use standard engineering skills that'll be used on my day to day work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have a yearly safety day that we will have an activity that we can enjoy. Other than that, there is not many activities we do.

Why?
It's a great work space that is friendly, also if you enjoy a change in pace from the normal 9-5 then it's great because it's a shift pattern.

Try do a little research before joining and have an open mind.
