Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I prepare financial statements, VAT Returns & management accounts for clients. I also occasionally provide business support on how to improve bookkeeping processes, etc to improve efficiency.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme. Both the work and training course portions are good fun and full of great people.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My communication skills have improved since joining. I have alos found my technical accounting skills have improved significantly since joining DJH and I can now complete complex work.

My programme is very well structured. I know what I need to do by when, and who to ask if I need help.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, they have a dedicated Learning & Development department to help all employees on an apprenticeship programme.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

First Intuition have been excellent, I have had great support and passed every exam first time so far.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me by giving me a higher technical understanding of my work, which enables me to be more confident when preparing financial information and speaking to clients.

Why?

I have worked at other firms during prior apprenticeships and DJH are by far and away the best company with regards to development and support I have worked for. Due to business growth, there are many people at all levels to ask for assistance.
