Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The scheme was split across two departments. I had an independent research task to complete for each department. I also had the opportunity to sit in on live client calls. Throughout the scheme there were various practice area presentations and talks, as well networking and social events.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The scheme improved my understanding of the role of a trainee at Latham. I also spoke to knowledge lawyers, associates, paralegals and partners, which helped me to understand more about the law firm as a business.

I developed my skills of legal research and analysis writing two memorandums. I also learnt a lot about each practice area I was sat in through conversations with my supervisor and other members of the team.
