Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Joining daily meetings with my team to discuss tasks, any issues we are facing and to see what everyone else is getting up to. Wokring on my apprenticeship by upskilling myself and learning new things everyday. Being apart of a project and delivering work. Communicating with different team members.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme as theres so much oppurunity to learn the skills you need to learn, for me this was coding and understanding code. I really enjoy learning whilst working and building a safe community with both my peers and colleagues.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many new skills including technical skills like coding, project management, agile ways of working, how do communicate to different types of people, how do use different applications such as teams and setting up meetings through outlook.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
At th start it was a little bit hectic and I was not really sure what was going on or what I was supposed to be going but the strucuture of a learning session a week and time to work on what I learned in that session helped me hugely.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I know who I can talk to if I am ever struggling at work, I have regular catchup sessions with my team and they are forever asking if theres anything I need or to reach out if there ever is. I am given the time to work towards my apprenticeship alongside normal working activities.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Theres endless oppurtunity to book session with my training provider coach and he is alwyas communicating with me and my peers to ensure we fully understand how to pass our apprenticeships. There are a lot of resources sent by my coach to help me be fully prepared for gaining my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel that I am gaining the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to become an excellent developer, also a good colleague. Recieving support also helps me to be able to give support and growing my knowledge base means I can share my knowledge, skills and experience with others.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I take part in volunteering activities, social events after work, apprenticeship events to build a network of people who are all going through the same thing and also some charity work where we give back to the community.
