Teamleader Review

As a team leader my work days are very varied and exciting. I am responsible for delivering good customer service and visual merchandising. I also provide on the job training, coaching and upskilling to all new and existing associates. I am also responsible for duty managing and working alongside the management team to carry out all day to day store activities.

The programme is very well structured. Having each module separated with in person and zoom classes has been very easy to follow along. The workplace tasks and assignments for each module also help to solidify the information I have learnt and to put it into practise.

My employer has been tremendously supportive. I have been assigned a workplace mentor who goes above and beyond in assisting me through our various check ins and meetings. The district manager and my own store management team have also been very supportive in ensuring I have time to attend classes, do assignments and complete workplace tasks, and are always there to assist when needed

My training provider, skillnet, has been very supportive throughout the apprenticeship. We were assigned a classroom rep who consistently checks in with all apprentices and sends us relevant information that we need to know. All of the module coordinators have also been incredibly helpful, with additional zoom meetings when necessary and are always available for extra help when needed

Getting to learn about retail in more depth has helped me to perform better and carry out my role as a team leader to the best of my ability. I feel like I bring more ideas to work and I am confident it will help me to progress within my company
