Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Currently I am within a Risk placement, therefore my day-today activities include attending risk reviews, carrying out governance checks within the risk software, providing support and guidance to project controls teams.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
Overall, I enjoy my programme. I think developing my knowledge through my university studies allows me to develop and apply this within my workplace and within my current role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed multiple skills, for example Risk Management, Stakeholder Communications and Management, Control of projects in terms of time, cost and quality and schedule management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I think there could be improvements in the way that my programme is organised. For example, as I am entering my last 1.5 years of my apprenticeship, I would like to receive final dates for EPA and gateway however these have not been confirmed as of yet.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
I receive good support from my Skills Coach, however from Early Careers as a whole, I would have liked more support as we enter EPA/Gateway. I also struggle to recieve a response from Early Careers via email.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Overall, University of Cumbria do provide support, however I think in regards to exams we could be offered further support and guidance as majority of our assessments have been written reports and therefore exams are not common.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The knowledge that I gain from my university studies definitely helps me develop and apply my knowledge and skills within my current role within the workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There is the LHAC which s an apprentice group, however due to work commitments I am not part of this.
