Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
- presentations on the firm’s goals, visions, diversity initiatives and practise areas including: M&A, Litigation, Antitrust and ESG

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
this experience has highlighted why i want a commercial law career as i got tangible work experience. i understood law firms operate as businesses and the strategies in place to help firms thrive. for example, latham has a tactical operations team which helps them analyse market conditions and further innovation, ultimately enhancing their client service.

yes, i have learnt more about time management and working under pressure. as a lawyer you will be under constant pressure to meet deadline so how you manage your work/ life balance is important

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I really enjoyed my time at the firm and felt comfortable asking any questions I had. I particularly enjoyed having one-on-one time with my associate and engaging in networking events as the atmosphere was less formal so I could get an insight from lawyers of all seniority

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
i thoroughly enjoyed the insight as I got a taste of the culture and values lawyers at latham have. i felt that these resonated with me so for that reason I will be reapplying to the firm
