Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
This role sees me interact with a number of people on a number of teams in order to enable, plan, and complete work associated with integrating new and modified technologies into the systems we make.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
The programme as a whole is fairly good, however this is due to the job role itself being solidly good and well managed by my Line Manager. The apprenticeship side can be found to be lacking in some contexts, with apprenticeship diploma work feeling like it pulls away from my normal job role as opposed to integrating with it.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
This role has allowed me to develop my people skills much more than any other role I have been in previously, the skill of getting what you need from people in an integration context is one that has definitely been promoted and developed.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
The apprenticeship and university pillars of the programme have been found to be lacking in certain areas of organisation and structure; information has taken longer than necessary to be dispersed and the university side of the programme is terrible for this. For example, dissertation supervisors have only just been assigned, despite the feasibility studies being submitted at the end of last year.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a decent amount of support from my employer in the general sense; my Line Manager is incredibly helpful with my career development outside of the apprenticeship programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
The apprenticeship provides a reasonable amount of support towards my qualifications, however, this could be improved by a quicker return of submitted work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
My qualification somewhat helps me in my regular job role as it gives me some more context to the work that I do and how it impacts the wider business.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are a wealth of networking events advertised by the company and apprenticeship.
