As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, my role involved supporting the marketing team in various campaigns. Daily tasks include creating social media content, assisting with campaigns such as admissions & recruitment website updates, and analysing campaign performance to contribute to achieving marketing goals.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My apprenticeship was highly enjoyable. Varied daily tasks kept me engaged, and I valued collaborative internal interactions within the team. Collaborating across departments offered new engaging opportunities while increasing responsibilities built confidence. Contributing to diverse projects provided practical skill application, making the programme very rewarding.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've honed my content creation for social media, and become more efficient in website updates. Collaborating with the team enhanced my communication and teamwork abilities. Taking ownership of campaign elements developed my organisational and time-management skills. Contributing to marketing projects provided practical experience in campaign planning, execution, and analysis.

My Digital Marketing Apprenticeship programme was well-organised and structured. Daily tasks were clearly defined, contributing to specific learning objectives. Internal interactions were facilitated through regular team meetings and mentorship. Responsibilities were gradually increased with clear guidance, and projects had defined briefs and timelines.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer was really supportive during my apprenticeship. My manager gave me lots of guidance and feedback on what I was doing day-to-day. The team was really supportive, always helping each other out and sharing knowledge. They were really invested in helping me learn and grow.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider offered strong support for my qualifications. They provided structured learning, individual guidance, and assessment preparation. Regular tutor meetings, clear learning materials, and feedback on assignments were key. They ensured my off-the-job training aligned with the curriculum, helping me successfully work towards my digital marketing qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification significantly helped me perform better in my role. The structured learning gave me a solid grasp of digital marketing, which I applied daily. Specific modules like content creation directly improved my tasks. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I've attended several events with work, and we've had a few team meals. The events and workshops I've attended have been really useful for learning new things and meeting people in the industry, networking and discussing marketing ideas that have worked for them.
