Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I lead branding, social media, and campaign strategy, manage case studies, and support apprenticeships. I collaborate daily with colleagues on content, design, and learner stories, and liaise externally with partners and clients. I drive projects like video campaigns, website updates, brand guideline driving. I also plan events, manage budgets across delivery teams, and lead projects like video campaigns, website updates, and enrichment programme promotion.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme. Working for an SME means I’m constantly challenged in the best way—it pushes me to be proactive, take initiative, and get involved in a wide variety of projects. I like that my role is hands-on and fast-paced, with lots of opportunities to grow and contribute.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I’ve developed stronger video production and editing skills, especially through our trainer and learner campaigns. I’ve also deepened my strategic planning abilities, particularly around budgeting and cross-team coordination. Managing large-scale campaigns and events has sharpened my project management skills, and I’ve become more confident in data-led marketing decisions.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is well structured. It follows a university-style format with clear term times, which helps with planning and balance. The weekly webinars are consistent and manageable in length, making it easier to stay engaged without feeling overwhelmed. The structure supports steady progress alongside my full-time role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support from Crosby—more than I could ask for. They genuinely care about my development and are always offering opportunities to grow, whether that’s through new projects, learning experiences, or just being available to guide me when I need it. It’s a really encouraging environment.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive lots of support from Aston as well. They’re easy to contact, and the module leaders are always responsive and helpful if any issues come up. There’s a clear structure to the programme, and I feel well-supported throughout each module.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Yes, my qualification definitely helps me perform better in my role. It covers areas I don’t typically deal with day to day—like sporting events or wider industry marketing—which broadens my perspective. It encourages more critical thinking and helps me bring fresh, strategic ideas into my work at Crosby.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are lots of extra-curricular activities at Crosby. We have summer BBQs, canal walks, parkruns, and charity events that bring everyone together. There are also weekly CPD sessions that help us grow across all areas of the business, both professionally and personally. It’s a really inclusive culture.
