Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

There were various panel events, talks and QandAs. As with employees across the firm to provide an overview of the culture and life at CMS. We carried out multiple group tasks including complex-city simulation, client dialogue and innovation den task. There was also various break out and reflection tasks which allowed us to get to know the other participants.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

The whole week was very insightful. The lawyers providing insight were candid about their experience of their role and CMS.

I have developed my communication skills during the business of law week. The various tasks required different communication skills (e.g. the panel events required active listening whereas group tasks required more collaborative communication).

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

Really enjoyed the insight that the BoL provided. We had the opportunity to speak with a variety of employees across all of CMS's offices which were all honest and open about the firm.
