Finance Graduate Review

My role involves consolidating files received from various teams across the finance function and ensuring we are submitting the correct numbers and KPIs to corporate ahead of each submission. I also take care of our depreciation forecast across the fiscal year as well as budget and outer years

My programme is well organised and structured. I am aware each year we will be rotating into a new role and learning about different parts of finance. We also had a month long induction at the beginning of the grad scheme which gave all those in the intake the opportunity to build relationships early on and form a close network around the company

I receive regular support from my employer - there are many options that can be used. I feel well supported within my team and by my manager and feel comfortable sharing how I feel my progress is and whether improvements can be made to continue building on my development

I receive some support from my training provider BPP - every few months we have a coaching/progress review where I share how I am doing at work and how my exams are coming along. I do however feel that contact could be more consistent/not having to wait as long for replies at times

My qualification is definitely helping me perform better in my role - I was able to transfer my knowledge from one of my early modules on depreciation and fundamentals of management accounting to my role itself as I forecast our depreciation costs
