I overall enjoy my apprenticeship and really like near-all aspects of it, however the organisation within the early careers team itself can be questionable at times, especially when it comes to planning/organising placements

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The college/Level 3 work so far has been organising very well and remains very consistent. However, organising placements and interacting with the early careers team about questions and queries can sometimes be difficult
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Overall, there is a lot of support available for employees,. The support available covers many different areas (such as mental health, disabilities, work-related and also home issues), The apprenticeship itself contains many different types and difficulties of work, support for this can always be found, but sometimes communicating it with supervisors/managers within the early careers team can be difficult
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Support surrounding the qualifications work is great, there are many options when it comes to support within this area
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualifications process helps me and others gain a greater understanding and provides much stronger foundations for future learning within the business and whilst out on placements. This process greatly supports performance within my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, we have the option to join many different out-reach groups (Employee resource groups), there is a flying club, you can become a STEM ambassador, and there are more options available too

BAE is very inclusive and diverse. The business is constantly updating training to maintain great levels of support for employees, alongside improving the experience for everyone.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Ensure you have an understanding of the roles you apply for/are looking at as some are very similar or vert different, despite having similar Job roles/quick descriptions.
