Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Until now, the online segment of the academy involved a wide array of activities. These ranged from online presentations, communications with clients, online business simulations, online partner led discussions with clients, and other activities.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was insightful and interesting and I learned a lot more about the business of law, and interacting with city lawyers on how they work on big and small clients, and where they see CMS' development.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
What I have learned was really how to be a sponge, in the sense of listening to a wide array of personalities with different approaches to communication and with different opinions and views, and understanding what they want to say. Likewise, I learned even more about how to communicate with a diverse array of personalities, whether it be on the simulation activities or in crafting a presentation.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very open and interesting, and light hearted which allowed us to be calm in our roles, whilst being candid about reality.

I really enjoyed them as I got to understand how a corporate firm which is up and coming like CMS, views its growth development, and how CMS gets and retains its clients.

Be open and yourself, and do not try to be what you think CMS wants. The firm is very candid and clear, and progressive.
