Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role started out in the field sales for the Off-trade (Retailers) - I went out and ensure products were presented to the best ability and ensures promos were correct. I did that for 6 months. I have now rotated into Customer Activation, planning tradeshows and events for 6 months.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am loving my programme- the team and the company as a whole are unbelievable and so supportive of me. Will provide guidance and advice at all times. Able to have serious conversations but also feel comfortable to have a good time and make friends all over the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Customer facings skills, Stakeholder management, Time management, Pushed out of my comfort zone, Independence, Team work, Strategic thinking, Negotiation, problem solving, resilience & communication.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is well structures. We aren't sure what the plan is for out 3rd year. We are half way through first year currently- so that may be why we don't know yet as it is far away yet. The uni lectures are planned well, they are one a week on the same day which helps me to allocate a day or my 6 hours of uni to one specific day each week, to keep it a constant.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Loads, everyone in the organisation is so helpful and always happy to answer any questions you have or even just for chat. I have never asked someone something and got a bad response back -they love to help and provide support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
With uni being very separate from where we are based and only going into the actual uni 6 times a year. It can e hard to communicate sometimes. We are all given coaches. They are there to help support us. My coach can be quite distant at times but when she's there she is really helpful and lovely to talk to. My lecturers are so supportive and lovey. They try and keep the online lectures as interactive as they can to ensure we are getting as best of an education through online lectures as they can.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Over the 3 year course we have a rotation of different modules. We have completed Finance in term 1 and Marketing in term 2. We have an ongoing module (Managerial skills) which lasts the duration of the course. This is good as we also rotate in our roles. Therefore, we can link our module rotations to most of the rotations we'll have in our jobs. Learning the theory and then putting it into practice with the roles we link to in rotations.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are lots of events we can attend. We have lots of courses we can access, teams meetings in different locations.
