Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Field sales experience selling our beverage brand portfolio. My specific role was selling the wine in the factored department on a national scale, going up and down the country to Key customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed it, great opportunity that I grasped with both hands. Getting out into trade as much as possible and experiencing different departments around the business. From day one they put you out in trade in the deep end.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Alot of the skills learnt were on the job skills rather than course learnt skills. Understanding P&L, prospecting and generic sales tools like excel, presenting and people skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
As my year was the first year of sales, the structure wasn't there so everyone's experience was different. Over time and learnings made the scheme develop more of a structure for the future years, aiming on certain departments which benefit the most.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Full support not just from the entry level talent team but also your sales team you are aligned with, PDP sessions are frequent with 1-1s and catchups
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
Not as much as I wanted. Using HITT training, when doing my final assessment I would hand my work into my tutor for feedback and I only received feedback weeks later when my deadline was past and work already submitted
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
I learnt more on the job than with the training provider.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
We do charity runs every year, this year a 24h relay and i am also running the national 3 peaks. I am also apart of the ERG for age being a DEI platform.
