Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am in the Microsoft operations team, my role involves setting up agreements for customer to able them to place orders for a wide range licences and subscriptions, I also am involved with providing upgrades for those licences and working with Microsoft if there any issues with customer portals or licences.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship here at Softcat, getting to network and getting to know some really amazing people who work within the business and I have also learned so much about my role and Softcat and looking forward to enhancing my knowledge, I have also enjoyed my apprentice work Condell and having regular apprentice calls and in person meetings .

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I would say I Have learned really business skills and have enjoyed learning more about business and widening my skills, I have also learned proper communication and the importance of wording and structure for example on an email to a customer or someone else here at Softcat, working at Softcat has also not just develop new skill but also enhance my existing skills such as teamwork and timekeeping

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I would say that the programme is structured in a positive way as my time is split in to my role work and my apprentice work, I appreciate the fact that the timing is flexible and who can organise you're time between the two to fit you the best as long as you are doing the designated hours for them.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received a lot of support from my employer everyone here at Softcat is always so kind and happy to help with any questions or support you may need. my Line manger and team have been amazing and so welcoming to me and training me in my new role and helping me in the areas I need additional help on to really help my confidence and knowledge
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

my training provider is Condell and they are very supportive, we receive many training sessions relating to the modals we do and 1-2-1's with our training provider to make sure you are happy with the work and to speak directly one on one about any help you need or wish to back over, they are also very good at helping outside these calls and always respond to my emails whenever I have a query
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

my qualification through my training provider I have found this does help in my role and we learn so much about business and its different areas so I am able to use this leaning I have received into my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Softcat offers many different activates, we have many different sports teams for people who wish to get involve this is a good way to network with people in the company who you may not work with on the daily and to meet new people, we have social event for end of quaters and end of year to bring the company together to celebrate all the hard work everyone does, there is something for everyone to get involved with.
