Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

During the business of law week each day varied greatly. We attended many interactive sessions where we were taught a variety of skills. We participated in simulations, spoke to clients of the firm and worked closely with our peers. Additionally, we had many opportunities to meet an array of people that work at the firm.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

We were given many opportunities to speak to partners, associates and trainees to gain a well-rounded perspective as to what a training contract at CMS requires and entails.

My confidence in presenting/public speaking has improved vastly due to the presentation we were given on the topic and the many opportunities that we had to practice this skill.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was incredibly supportive. This is something that I picked up many times from speaking to an array of staff members. I also felt supported by the early talent team and my peers.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

The insight was one of the most enjoyable parts of the week. I could tell that those working at CMS love working there and it made me even more excited to go into the office.
