Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

This fantastic and insightful Business of Law week offered me considerable insight to the macro-environmental landscape that CMS operates in. I had the lovely opportunity to interview a key client, work with my team to deliver our innovative sustainability solution, and participate in useful presentation sessions. Overall, an enjoyable and intellectually stimulating week that I would recommend to everyone.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a lot of responsibility and had exposure to a great variety of different tasks, from presenting with my group, to teamworking on a challenging simulation. The week was action packed and I enjoyed the high level of responsibility that I was able to assume.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

The Business of Law week considerably enhanced my collaborative and teamworking skills. There was a strong focus on improving this for all participants which I appreciate. I also strengthened my confidence and presenting skills. I hope to carry these into my in-person internship with CMS.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

The HR team were always on hand to support us at all times and constantly checking in. There was a good culture of ensuring support and guidance amongst participants to each other too, such as through breakout rooms where we would feedback and help others.
