Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
On the Business of Law week we worked from home and listened to a range of talks on the business of being a lawyer and the strategy at CMS. This also included teamwork challenges such as a business simulation challenge and a group presentation task.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
We received more general skills insights than particular presentations on each department at CMS and the work they do. However, engaging with clients in dialogue was effective in understanding how CMS approaches their legal business.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Really friendly and accepting culture. Enthusiastic people on the scheme and those at the firm and presenting to us on different business and legal skills.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CMS
Understand their approach to the law and how they provide advice to clients particularly their approach to being the leading relationship firm and future facing, doing things differently to other firms and trying to work for clients more holistically than potentially other firms do.
