My role in the company is a sheet metal worker where I learn to craft lockers, ventilation and other components for our product.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy our programme as it is learning something very specific to our company and learning about the use of different equipment, tools, machines and methods and how to implement the knowledge into my practical skills.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned about different methods of manipulating metal as well as the usage of tools and equipment to form parts for the product we produce as well as learning how to weld them together and the properties of our resources.

Our company programme is very well organised and monitored and communications and standards are clear from the management all the way down to the apprentices.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Our employer supports us in our chosen career paths as well as in other aspects such as payment queries and problems that we may encounter personally and helping to accommodate them and help us.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Our training providers supervise our progress and assess it on a 12 weekly basis to ensure goals are being met and to ensure they know of any problems that may arise between those 12 weeks to help accommodate our learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Because it provides us the knowledge and skills necessary in order to excel in our roles and to implement into our tasks throughout our careers.
