Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is to set up extraction tubes, test tanks for gases and issue permits out for work in confined spaces.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme, every day is different.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt how to work safely in a dangerous environment and use tools that I never knew how to use before.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
The organisation could be a bit better as to begin with I was just thrown into random classrooms as there was no place for me. I hope in the future they better this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
I do receive a lot of support from my employer, the only issue I have is I rarely see my skills coach and they’re supposed to be helping me along with my journey.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I wish to receive more support from my training provider.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Like I said, I rarely see my skills coach. I was thrown into the job with no prior knowledge so I’ve only been receiving training and support from the team on my placement.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
No
