Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The first week was focused on the 'Business of Law' and gave a great insight into how the firm operates as a business. For example, there were group tasks such as a 'Complex-City Simulation' and 'Innovation Den' Presentation which were very fun to get involved in. There were also many interactive talks throughout the week from Partners, Diversity and Inclusion team, clients, etc.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Incredibly insightful and comprehensive sessions to allow us to develop better understanding of the business operations and roles at the firm. For example, took part in a 'Client Dialogue' session which helped us understand what type of clients the firm works with and what these clients expect from CMS.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of people that I have met for the first time under high-pressure environments. An example of this was the 'Simulation' which was very educating since we learnt how to balance the interests of different stakeholders within a project.
